Literature-Inspired Fandom Events, Inc. is proud to announce its new convention: Summer School in Forks: A Twilight Symposium.

Running June 25-28, 2009, Summer School in Forks: A Twilight Symposium will not only encompass the journey of the beloved characters in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga, but also the individual journeys of those who savor them.

L.I.F.E. invites those 14 and over who have read Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series to join us for 3 days of Summer School Fun. Not only will there be activities- such as a Prom in the actual Forks High School Gym- students and fans, academics and educators, young and not-so-young will be joining in Forks, Washington to discuss, debate and celebrate the world in a Twilight Convention

Along with keynote speakers and luncheons, attendees will have the opportunity to take a field trip to La Push, make crafts, compete in the Bella Swan Memorial Volleyball Tournament and possibly be crowned Prom Queen or King. When not studying, attendees can visit the hospital where Dr. Cullen saves lives, visit the police station that Charlie runs, and shop at the Thriftway just like Bella. “Students” can also stroll the homey streets where Bella and all the wonderful Twilight characters come to life.

For the family members not interested in Twilight (yes, it's hard to imagine such a thing), Forks is well known for fabulous fishing opportunities, hikes in the Hoh Rain Forest, and easy access to beautiful beaches. The quaint, seaside town of Port Angeles is just a mere hour’s drive away.

Join us in the rainy town where Bella’s adventures took place. Bond with others who share the joy and love of Stephenie Meyer's epic Twilight series.

Registration will be opened soon. Please watch for updates!
