The Complete Metropolis with Live Orchestra Accompaniment by the Alloy Orchestra SIFF Cinema
The inaugural City Arts Fest will host the Seattle premiere the rerelease of Fritz Lang's Metropolis. The film includes footage that was found in a vault in Buenos Aires, Argentina and was restored by the F.W. Murnau Foundation. The film will also include an accompaniment by the world renowned Alloy Orchestra. The screenings celebrate the film as both a silent masterpiece and a testament to the value of film preservation.
