CUFF programs 'Mind-Blowing' Film Fest for 2009

Calgary – The Calgary Underground Film Festival (CUFF) will announce the lineup for this year’s festival on Thursday, April 2 at 11:30 am at the Plaza Theatre in Kensington.

“We worked hard on this year’s programming and it shows,” explains Brenda Lieberman, co- founder and director of CUFF. “The range of genre films goes from horror, fantasy, romantic comedy, super-hero, monster and many more. We have films from across the world, including Canada, South Korea, Japan, USA and Germany. We had to program another day of the festival just to fit all the awesome programming in.”

The 6th Annual Calgary Underground Film Festival will kick off Tuesday, April 14th and run through Sunday, April 19th. All films will be screened at the Plaza Theatre, 1133 Kensington Road NW.

Founded in 2003, CUFF is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to programming features, documentaries, shorts, animation and experimental films that defy convention. CUFF brings Calgarians a unique roster of films rarely seen in North American theatres.
